He explains that Google doesn’t care if you have a single article on a topic, but once you have multiple articles on the same topic, Google will recognize that you are a topical authority and award your website with traffic. To achieve this, a lot of content needs to be written, which can be costly and time-consuming. However, Matt explains how AI software, ChatGPT, can make topical authority easy. He explains that to generate a topical map manually involves a two-step process. First, you source subtopics from multiple sources and then you use clustering software to sort them into their proper articles. However, this process takes a lot of time and money. With ChatGPT, you can generate a topical map for free. To demonstrate this, Matt gives two examples- gym exercises and protein powder. He explains that you need to ask ChatGPT to give you 30 semantically relevant, but unique topics under the main category of the topic. Then you need to ask ChatGPT to give you 10 different keyword variations of each topic that address a different search intent. Matt explains that the ChatGPT topical map process is not as good as the manual way, but it makes up for it with the speed, cost, and relevance.
